Some ideas for mods
 
Hi there, I'm new to this forum and I have a some ideas for things that I'd like to see modded in. Some of these mods might already exist, if so, could you helpful guys point me in their direction? Thanks!

1. A mod that puts the start date to just before the war starts, complete with a message about the start of the war.
2. Remember the scene from 'Crimson Tide' when the sub is approaching crush depth and the hymn 'Those in Peril On The Sea' plays slowly and quietly in the background? I think if this music could be added in just before 'death cam' kicks in and continues during it, that would add a poignant touch to the last few moments before another gallant crew loses their lives. Perhaps it could be combined with the sound sample for 'Depth: 600 feet!' or something along those lines, a depth you're not going to recover from basically.
3. A mod that lets you choose your torpedoes and load them automatically. It's a pain to have to load each one individually.
4. Some crew reactions when sinking ships! Come on, if a crew had just dropped the Yamato for example, they'd celebrate a little, surely!
5. 'Rig for depth charges' and crew reactions when under depth charge attack.
6. A mod that cancels all time compression when depth charges go into the water, or when a DD is directly overhead. At the moment, it's too easy to be in time compression and not have time to react to the attack. Also, it would be cool to experience the attack in real time. 'Depth charges in the water' from SH3 would be good also.
7. If there's a way to mod in SH3's damage control screen, that'd be good.
8. Some new sounds when under naval artillery fire on the surface! The stock ones sound more like lasers than incoming shells!
9. When someone gets hurt, lets hear 'MEDIIIC!!!!' This was in SH3, surely?
10. Does anyone else find it strange that, being captain of the ship, you're not represented onboard in the crew management page? Surely it would be easy to mod it in so that you can actually have your name under one of the officer icons?
11. Finally, is there a way to have the map screen present on other stations in a window? That way you can spend more time in the control room soaking up the atmosphere, rather than just staring at a map! The option to display/hide the map would also be necessary.

So, can any (or all) of these things be added? Let me know what you think!

Your list,will not go unnoticed. The thinking may be,wait for patch,then mod.,otherwise conflicting files might inhibit patch install. Everyone is not a Mod Master yet,we are learning though.:know: :rotfl: :yep:

I actually have heard this in SH4:up:

Some of my comments :roll: The others I have no comment at this time, no real reason, just don't. I am sure others will.

This one is in the Real Fleet Boat mod and in the Pacific Theater mod already. Patrols start on the 2nd of December.

1 - see RFB and I think FTT. You can start before dec 7 in those mods.

4 - they do react if you watch them (except for the crew on deck). They'll pump their fist when a torpedo hits. No audio that I've heard, but they do react to torpedo hits.

1. Was thinking about implenting it and from looking at the files, id say its easily done.

2. adding music is easy. But if it violates CR laws, can't be posted here.

3. Serious doubts on that. Interm solution, Refit before docking.

4. Only Ubi can do this.

7. Graphics is modable. Functionality? Not likely to doubtful.

8. Easily modded. Infact, just grab a sound file from Sh3 mod, and your done.

9. Maybe. If the Entry is in the cfg file, but hes not speaking it, then your looking at another "Ubi"
