Can you retract the circular antenna?

Hello,
I read the GWX expansion manual and it says to use Shift+R to retract it, but it doesnt retract. This may be used for the radars and not the antenna. But if it is, is there a way to retract the antenna? I thought those long cables going from bow to stern were the antennae?

I'm certain this has been posted recently but I cant find it.

edit: I found the post, but I'm still confused. Do you need a mod to raise and lower it? I am running GWX1.03

Also, what does the loop antenna do? whats it called?

There is no trigger currently available which allows us to raise & lower the RDF Loop (Radio Direction Finder).

There is a mod available on the GWX Website (click on my Sig) which allows you to have it down permantley. This will not affect the Radar.

The cables running fore and aft would initially detect the radio signal and the loop would be rotated to give you a bearing.

If you are talking about the radio direction finder loop... it retracts when you submerge.

Is the Circular RDF a mod?

Is it just part of GWX?
