Free alternative to VAC?
 

Hi all, I love the whole Voice Activated Commands thing, but was wondering if there isn't a free alternative somewhere. Preferably open source so I can tweak as needed.


Any ideas? I mean, voice activated hotkeys really should be a simple deal, considering Microsoft Speech goes about 90% of the way for you.

If the maker of VAC is here, don't get offended or anything, just looking for an alternative - yeah, I know I'm cheap. :|\\

where somebody asked something similar, and that pointed me to "Shoot", a free voice command program...sounds like just what I need. http://clans.gameclubcentral.com/shoot/ for anyone looking for where it is, that's an unfortunate name for a tool, really hard to google.
