How to get new sub displayed in Quick Mission select sub dropdown?

Need help, please.

Have a new sub set up as American. Created new mission. Select mission in SH4. Dropdown alongside mission for selecting submarine. How do I get a new unit to appear in this list?

Left click and drag in onto the map. Be sure to check out the forum
on creating missions from the editor. Many good tips there....

Thanks for that, Jim. However, Its within SH4 I'm referring to. I see my mission in SH4 but the only subs I can chose from are the standard US subs.

Within mission editor my sub appears in the American dropdown to select and drop onto the map. It shows as American Allied (set up in Roster directory) but does not appear in SH4 itself as a selectable sub for the mission.

Mission date vs. availibility of the Sub on that date ?

Mission date = 1943. Availibility = 1939 to 1945

When you do the unit properties on your sub, did you check the human
player box?

Yes - at the moment it is the only unit, and validate doesn't allow a mission without a playable unit. I might as well come clean. I am doing a "what if" , trying to get an SHIII type VIIc in SH4. I have it in the mission editor showing up as Allied American (for now) but it doesn't appear in the single mission sub select drop down within SH4 proper. There must be a file that needs editing somewhere, but.........

Looking at other threads I get the feeling someone has achieved this???????

I have the same problem... When I create a mission with an specific sub, sometimes it appears on the list and sometimes not... even if itīs on time (balao in 1945 for ex.). Donīt know how to fix it though....
