I wonder what would happen if you switched that on when it was raining. I dare say the wearer would get a shocking experience herself.:rotfl:

No. Read around there somewhere. It's rain safe.

Thinking back to my A-lev physics, I can confidently say that something like that could be dangerous to the wearer in the rain. They even say in the FAQ

Brings new meaning to the term "electric personality".

Have any of you folks seen the "hug jacket"? It remembers how people hug you :D

Ok. So, it's going to have a battery (9v) and capacitor.
Better be a solid-state cap, because if someone hooks you up with a hand held taser, you'll blow a electrolytic cap.

Second, isn't going to work if the guy stabs you through it. You'll end up shorting through yourself.

Third, if he's wearing a jacket and gloves, and clubs you upside the head with a billy-club, the jacket isn't going to be of much use.

Fourth, it would have to be very low-voltage to be "rain proof". At 80kv, electricty can jump over 3cm through dry air -- even further through humid air. It would have to have a deformable mesh conductor grid to protect from water, and your purse strap over your shoulder would negate that.

But that doesn't make it completely worthless. What you do is heave that stupid 9v battery into a smoke detector, and put a bang-stick (double-ought) up those retarded sleeves. When the little bastard grabs you, you stuff him in the gut with the bang-stick. Problem solved, go home and sleep with a pistol under your pillow.

To be fair, Avon, who'd dare screw with you? ;)

I was thinking of wearing it at home. All day long the kids are poking me in the back from behind, saying "Mommy, I want this" and "Mommy, I want that".

Think Pavlov. :know:

I could immagine this being used in BDSM.... :rotfl:
