Sonar destroyed; can't replace...
 

My sonar was destroyed on the patrol before last.
After setting out on the last patrol, I noticed it wasn't replaced or repaired, and, when I returned, I tried "buying" it (again) with renown and was informed I already have it.
Now, on this patrol, I see it's still shown as destroyed.
Any comments or insights on this?

Seems like the usual stock bug. Which version of SH3 are you playing? Stock SH3 or any of the Super-Mods? Also what boat are you using?

Yup, you go it; type IXD2.
To be honest--not wanting to call attention to myself--I've never been crazy about using the sonar anyway. But still, it'd be nice to have an operational unit for rare occasions.

I'm affraid it's a stock bug.

I'll just assume the 8th Air Force bombed the Reich's sonar production facilities and supply inventory.

You can also try any of the Super-Mods. They usually offer more options than the stock game and most of these stock bugs are solved. Try GWX where this particular bug is solved.

Yes; the Super-Mods.. I keep hearing about them.
I'm starting to get the feeling I've got a brand new sub sim to look forward to when I finish my stock career.:)

Welcome to the forums Kaleun. I'm using Vanilla VANILLA SHIII, as in, unpatched. I havn't had any problems at all.

Like the others said, most problems are fixed with the supermods, I'm just saving up the last 8 bucks until I can get the DVD from the "dontation"

GWX,NYGM and the others are free. Don't go paying for your mods - you don't have to honest;)

If you are refering to the Subsim DVD with the extra mods etc, then GWX is NOT included.:-?

If you can give us you general location we should be able to get a DVD sent to you FOC.
