Career sunk by type IXc
 

started a career november 39 on a type IXb
played 10 patrols which brought me in summer 41 without any bug or CTD
updated my sub to type IXc

Then it started to happen. First patrol on the new sub I got a weird bug in my ammo managment (always playing without the auto loading) as one of my stern torpedo in reserve became a free picture. I can move and drop it anywhere on the sub but it can't "lock" on a torpedo slot. Well, I played it as my stern torpedo room was damaged and went on. Second patrol, the torpedo bug happened massively for stern and bow torpedo and experienced 2 CTD : one while moving freely into the sub (shift F2) and one right when receiving a shell from an armed merchand.
At this time I decide to clean my SHIII install and reinstall it. Then I reload my save in port after the first patrol with IXc. All my crew was missing :doh: Well, let's hire a new crew then :lol:. Next patrol got the same kind of bug. End the game and reload before changing my sub and try to continue with type IXb. No bug at all :shifty: . Actually I m 2 month short because I don t have the time expense for changing sub but I don t think the issue was about my time line but more about the type IXc

system :
last GWX version, GWX torpedo mod, GWX open hatch mod, a mod of dial for GWX but can't remember which one :damn:

I know it's a PITA but try the same things with just base GWX. Do not use anyother mods. This way we can rule out any problems with the extra mods.

I can't see it listed but are you using SH3Cmdr? If so, did you rollback before any changes/reinstalls?

Yes I m using SH3Cmdr and rollingback after each game as the software is asking me in a huge dialog box when i m exiting SHIII

Will try to update to IXc again after my current patrol and with only GWX

Did you delete everything from C\MyDocs ?
Are you installing career saves from your previous install ?

I did a backup of my saved game yes.

But have you got identical mods installed as last time ? :hmm:
