When does the IX boats come into play? (GWX)
 

Its now 8-29-41 and I am in Brest, I want to know when I will be able to upgrade to the IXD, or I will take the IXB.

If you check the GWX Manual you will see all the dates for all the boats and all Flotillas. I'm at work right now and I cannot check it, but I know there is a table in there with all the information you need.

Transfer to Lorient to get the IXD2 first. It will be available late 1942 or early 1943. If you can wait, take the IXC when it's available (better range). Then you can go Drum Beating.:arrgh!:

Ok so If I stay in brest I won't get the IX boat that quick then, so Lorient is the place I want to go then? Correct?

If you stay in Brest, you will NEVER get in IX boat.;)

I need to amend my dates.....

Lorient will give you an IXC now & the IXD2 in Jul '43
Bordeaux will give you an IXD2 in Jan '43 when the Flotilla opens for operations.

I seem to only sail in type IX boats these days, so I start my careers in Lorient in the 2nd flotilla and commence with the IXB and upgrade as newer models become available :arrgh!:

Hey quick question

Is Pearl Harbour modeled into this game??... love to watch and remember what finally forced America into the war... then sink a Japanese carrier plus maybe a destroyer or two... then reload to my last save point:lol:.

I'm afraid not, GWX is predominantly the Atlantic theatre of operations + Black Sea, Indian Ocean :arrgh!:
