Flash! HMS Rodney Lost with All Hands
Berlin. The Oberkomando des Kriegsmarine announced in a dispatch that the British Battleship Rodney was torpedoed by a U-Boat and sent to the bottom in less than two minutes.
BDU stated that U-46, under the command of Oberleutnant Udo Bucher sank the mighty battleship Rodney. This is Bucher's second patrol. In the previous patrol in October, Bucher sank the Battleship Revenge. The U-46 with its frog emblem has earned its sobriquet of Panzershiff-buster. London 08 December 1940. The British Admiralty confirmed that the battleship HMS Rodney was lost with all hands. Chamberlain becomes ill after the news. http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o...e/fsscr486.jpg :smug: http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o...fsscr486-1.jpg |
Awesome!
Wondering if you could give me tips on where to locate "Named" ships like this. The community manual lists them in ports but I was wondering if encountering ships like the Rodney is pure chance in sea or do you have to wait for scripted campaign events to locate them? |
Welcome aboard, Canuc.
My two encounters with battleships were stricktly by chance. In Gwix they do have scripted campaigns. |
Nice work Brag
So far I've only got me a Revenge... By the way, why McMillan? Am I thinking of the wrong McMillan? EDIT: Nice edit Brag, good pics and quick name change for Britsh PM! Oh yes and welcome Canuckboat! |
Welcome aboard kaleun CanuckBoat :arrgh!:

Well done!! To date, I've only tangled with a King George V Battle Ship.. She went down with 3 eels under her keel
