Manual of Current (1944) Submarine Doctrine
Found a manual involving the doctrine of submarine's in WWII. Seems to cover almost everything, and seems to be written in an Art of War kind of way with just lists of quotes or instructional sentences (always the best way).
Current Doctrine Submarines USF 25(A) http://www.history.navy.mil/library/...b_doctrine.htm + Thanks to epaga for pointing me towards the main site in his post + Apologies if this has been posted before, but I had not seen it, so I decided too - Wood |

Thanks for posting the link (there's another few hours of my life gone) I always like reading stuff like that :D

Wow, sweet! I didn't think of searching that site for more gold nuggets after the one I found. :)
That's some great stuff, right there. |

Sorry about that. I had not seen it, and notice like you said it had been pushed down the pages by the sheer volume of participants on this forum. Go ahead and delete this one though since it already exists, might wanna bump the original though so people still can check it out. :)

Very impressive. It's to the USN what the Uboat Cdr's Handbook was to the Kriegsmarine.
Great reading material. |
