This sounds like a strange way to study how culture emerges in society.

Looks like a flawed study from the beginning.

Though the Robots may learn from watching what other Robots do, none of the Robots will attempt to learn more then they are capable of doing. What will happen if given enough time is that all Robots will end up knowing the same things then the learning stops.

I think you're right in a way, but they may still glean some theories from it.
