Maybe I'm not seeing something but I cannot seem to save my career while in port. I hit the esc key and i get a message asking if i want to end my career. Is there some part of the screen i have to click on

In your office (when in port) the bookshelf at the left side of the room holds folders for saving and loading. Just float the mouse around and they'll light up.

Just go ahead and abandon your career. Then go to the load screen and you'll see it saved as an "in port" save. The wording on the pop up is misleading.

The door but youll get the same message.

Its okay to leave there will be an autosave.

Yes the "abandon carrier" will give you pause but honest it will still be there.

Thanks. Also noticed pinning medals and promoting members of the crew. Dragging the medal over the highlighted crew member doesn't seem to work.

Grab and drag the medal. The medal will be slightly to the left of the mouse cursor. Put the mouse cursor not the medal over the crew member.

Not exactly intuitive but thats how it works
