I just delivered James Bond to the coast of Yokosuka & left there "completing that patrol" & heading for deeper water ! About 20 NM & i'm told via a sonar read saying that there is a slow moving warship moving towards me & clicking on him it looks like either J.B's raft is headed out to sea, or the nips have starting hunting in raft's ! Besides it is daylight now & i didn't care for the shallow water the 1st time ! According to a post on this particular patrol, it specified dropping Mr. Bond off & nothing about picking him back up. Besides now i have appointment in Tokyo to take pictures. Anybody thats been there & done that got any opinions ? I just didn't want to go back to Pearl & get spanked for not giving J.B a ride back !!!

Yea its kinda goofy that sonar can pick up life rafts, life boats.

Wait till you sink a Huge liner and all of a sudden you have 20 contacts going every which a way.

This is with "realistic" sensors set on too.

Just go do your photo and head back back to base, don't worry they will keep sending you to do it a few more times for whatever reason. I did that mission 3 times and the photo the same. You have to be careful because sometimes I am almost back to base and they give me a new mission.

You will also have the same report if you shoot down aircraft! There is a mod in the Forum to alliviate this problem I believe....can't remember exactly where....but sure it reduces "Sonar Contact of Rafts"...I just ignore it now!
