2nd patrol... Same patrol grid as the last?

Ok, I finished my first patrol in GWX from Sept 1, 1939 - Sept 26, 1939. I was assigned grid BF17. But now, I got back to base and I find out I'm assigned there again? Is this normal? Should I go there again or does it really even matter?

That happens sometimes in the game. However if you really want a differnet patrol grid then you can go into SH3 Commander and change your next patrol grid.

As an officer in the Kriegsmarine, you go wherever BDU sends you! All for the glory of the Reich.

Obviously you like to sail in 39. ;)

Ach, 39. It was a good year for wine, lone merchants and sinking British battleships.

39 was also when Bernard joined the U-boat service

If I get assigned there a third time... Then I shall know something is fishy in BdU that they're not telling me. :nope:

One thing I noticed about these patrol grids - they all kinda look alike once you get there... :yep:

Yeah... they're all empty of activity.
In all my sailing, I've only encountered something 2 or 3 times.:o

If you want different patrol grids try using SH3Cmd. You have the option to chose where you want to go.

I noticed the same thing. 1st patrol AM41, 2nd patrol was to the same place.

Some boats were assigned the same patrol areas in RL....it was totally dependant on where the intelligence received indicated that the convoys were :arrgh!:
