It starts around 2:50 and I can't seem to find it in the game. Would love to add it to my gramophone.

Offhand it sounds a bit like something from Hans Zimmer or Klaus Badelt, maybe from Crimson Tide? Not sure, hated that movie, so don't watch it that often.

It is track #01 on the Soundtrack CD. The title is "Main theme from Silent Hunter 4"

Does the soundtrack CD only come with the special edition?

IF YOU HAVE ANOTHER SOUND MOD ACTIVATED FOR THE MAIN MENU MUSIC, SUCH AS "Ultimate Sound Mod" YOU WILL GET A CONFLICT ERROR.
I activate the Ultimate Sound Mod and then this mod, I have no issue or game error, just the new music.:up:
