ok so i have 6 maps of the pacific they are in jpeg format i just like having them around compared to the bs stock maps if anybody wants them for other mods ..feel free i thought they would make nice pulldowns ...i have 2 pics so you can see what they look like realmaps http://hosted.filefront.com/bunkerratt/

of course, what i'd really love to find are period usn maps with hydrographic data... 'seen anything like that?

Nice one man!...prob is how to do a proper "Pull Down" map?. I think we need more guys trying this out. I know a cuple here are trying hard, but so far we have not found even a lead!...But never give up and foremost NEVER SURRENDER!

If its hard coded we can just wait for the source code (I guess we will see the Sun die out and new civilizations evolve before we even read about it) or the Dev's sees the need for it and implements it as a possibility in a patch.

Just FYI, don't let a quartermaster hear you call them maps. They are charts. Maps are for figuring out the road to grandmas house.:yep:;)

I found a nice big National Geographic world atlas at the local thrift store for $4.00. Lot's of help when trying to figure out those land marks when keeping a patrol report... :cool:
