[REL] Mini Chrono Mod & Imperial Nomograph for v1.2

Release
Combination of Mini Chrono Mod & Imperial Nomograph for v1.2

Mini Chrono mod created and developed by SUBSIM user Chomu
Imperial Nomograph Mod created by Chris, cdrake66 with his readme file included.

All I did was simply merge the files together in one safe, version 1.2 compatible menu.ini file with the included extras for the Nomograph. This combo mod is JSGME compatible.

Special thanks to both of these developers for their hard work. Nice job!

if both mods are editing the Menu file you'll have to merge them like i did. I used Winmerge and carefully edited the menu file while keeping a close eye on the other files in the file tree.

i use the Nomograph religiously, its the only accurate way i seem to get any hits. So i need it. im currently working on combining the Nomograph with DarkShip's Hamilton Yellow Navy Chrono. I'll be able to test it out when i get home. with his permission i'll post the combo mod if it works.

Combining mods is pretty easy, just a little time and fiddling, but its nice when its 'just up here already for you' which is why i put the 1st combo up for starters. just easier to grab it and install it. rather than mess with it. This community is great i feel like its a way to give back a little.

and i just cant live without Chris's Nomograph! :arrgh!:

Stop using filefront for downloads. It is like using a lawnmower as a microwave - it just dont work!

:-?

OK man, let's not get too worked up right from the beginning! First impressions count for something, after all! The modders on this here site are very bright, very talented, and VERY busy! But they are also by and large a very friendly and helpful bunch. I'm sure that you will get what you seek within a reasonable time, but this apparently just happened recently because many of these files have been hosted on filefront with good results. I have many of the latest versions of these mods myself and would be happy to upload/share with folks, but let's give them a chance to fix it first. For instance, I believe Captain Cox said he was going to be at work for awhile so he probably isn't aware there's a problem! Hope this helps, Zeke.

Perhaps a suggestion as to a wonderful, free and unlimited hosting site would be more helpful than slamming Filefront. It's always better to make a suggestion as to what to do than what not to do. Just my opinion.

@ ATR...

Can you write out the complete addr of your DL at Filefront...the one given keeps throwing some of us back to FF's main page?

DemonTraitor 08-24-07 07:25 AM

Ok, I apologise. I have just got SH4, and so have been on the hunt for mods, and most of the links failed to work, which eventually drove me down and down, link by link.

Firstly, I hate FileFront, they are leeches. You should not need to pay for downloads - EVER, so I am trying to boycott that site.

Secondly, off the top of my head I do not know of a good public host alternative. I have plenty of space on my server, and given the time I will write a front end for people to be able to upload their stuff. I have always wanted to host such a server, but never got round to it, and have only used it for hosting my own game mods etc.

In the meantime, I will see if I can find a proper host... that aint FileFront, or any other that asks for special "gold" account access or any kind of payment etc! :x
