Why is my patrol still not ending?
 

Patched to 1.2, patrolled Luzon straight in an old S-class boat, expended all my torpedos and sunk as many merchand and military targets I could. Been in the area for 3+ days and the star still will not turn grey so I can go back home.

Why?

I may revert back to GWX a wee bit longer.....

Did you 'phone home'? Send a patrol report home and see what happens.

What item is in the star?

Binoculars means you have to stay there about 48 hours before getting a 'Attaboy!'.

If you have a flag there, you just need to get close by and it should give you a mission accomplished but then tell you that you need to sink some ships. I believe 10k tons of shipping will make them happy on that one.

They're binocs, and I've been there for 5 days now.

And then I'm reporting straight to Kiel....

Stay within 60nm of the symbol for two full days.

Make a compass circle at that range from the center of it and patrol accordingly.

I have seen a figure of 180 nm being mentioned here also, where do you get these figures from, a guesstimate? ;)

I have tried drawing a circle at a few different ranges. Staying within 60 nm for two days has always worked for me. Some people say 100 works.. I'm thinking maybe that's kilometers if someone's using the metric system. I'm using Imperial.
