How to input speed in TDC via scope?

I just got this game and it is driving me insane :damn: .

How the hell can I enter speed into the TDC using my scope? I use the manual step by step, can enter range and AOB just fine. But clicking the little clock lets a stopwatch appear. Clicking again makes it disappear. I finally figured out to start the stopwatch by clicking the button on top of it (NOT in the manual), but stopping it 30 sec later with my target locked up just resets the stopwatch, NOT entering speed data.

I have to make guestimates, leaving me roaring in anger as I fire up torpedoschool with a cruiser dead-center in my sights at 1000 yards, passing by every single time.

Anyone?

The chronometer for getting the speed is broken in all versions. This has been covered hundreds of times already. For information on how to get a targets speed do a search - there are dozens of threads on the subject.

Well, I really began to think it was me, seeing I was actually following the manual to the letter. But I am king in manual plotting in SH3 with GWX, so all of a sudden not being able to hit a 100 meter ship from 400 meters away kinda upset me.

But to open up a whole other discussion: that's really not very good of UBI, sending the game out in this state, is it?

The manual for SH4 is confusing, it wasn't very well edited in my opinion. Seems like they took the SH3 manual and changed it around (hehe, the manual mentions 'snorkel depth'... there are no snorkels in SH4  )
