100% realism [the short version]
 

finally tried full realism.. whoooohooo.

first engagement after dropping off spy is a nice convoy with only two dd's protecting five ships.

raining heavily, visual pretty bad. use sonar for set up. up to 30 ft so i can get scope higher to lock target. calculate firing soultion. fire spread. everything hits. yippie! 7100 tons. lose all contacts because of no sonar at 30 ft, surface since i cant see anything.

merchant with diamond studded, gold plated bow rams me.

I do like the aggressive merchants! I surfaced by one at close range for gun action....the merchant went full ahead at me:o. I had my cannon on the bow and was in full reverse to get away. I was very suprised at the merchants looking to ram. It was a neat suprise. Merchant now are two fold, they have deck guns and sometimes they will attempt to ram.
