For some reason on this new patrol I started... I didn't receive the first message you get at like 6:01am on Sept 1, 1939 about Poland being at war with Germany. Is it randomly generated? All I did to the messages file was edit a spelling error on that message from "NETRAL" to "NEUTRAL", and I'm certain nothing else got changed. It isn't a big deal but I'm just curious as to how the message system really works.

in the SH3 directory there is a text file with all of the possible radio messages in the game along with dates and times they should broadcast and the % probability that they will broadcast to you.

Some are 100% chance some are lower

the text can be edited in that text file.
