Does anyone use their own stopwatch?

I do and I find it helps with the roleplaying aspect.

You can find digital stopwatches for a few bucks but I really wanted a manual stopwatch. I was able to find one for about $40.00 and it truly adds to my enjoyment.

Yeah I am strange

Tempted

I am tempted to get one after I realised I am now using my stopwatch on the attack periscope to determine closing distance when I am on a path to intercept before I attack...

If my missus sees me sitting in front of the pc with a stopwatch timing a computer generated ship she will leave me. I'm tempted to get a white cap as well as the stopwatch :D

Hmmm.. Stopwatch... :hmm:

Lets see.. I'm already running a red light over my computer desk, a small fan for ventillation, Noise cancellation headphones for my hydrophone sweeps and my son comes in with a mug and says "Coffee, Herr Kaleun?" I think my wife would kill me if she saw a watch hanging there... :rotfl:

That is a nice watch on ebay though... :yep:

Fans going (two, one pointing away from me and sounds like a diesel engine and one for the usual fan)...check

Red nightvision lighting...not yet...soon...

Stop watch...I have an old watch...not sure if it has a stopwatch function though...I'll have to check when I get home.

And I'm learning german...so...ya...I think I like these games...just a bit.

I use the stopwatch function on my wrist watch for counting RPM on the hydrophone.

You don't have the white hat YET?

<shaking head> (snicker)

I decided to grow a beard just because I was playing SH3!

<no I can't back that up>

I do wish there was a way I could have the lights in my office dim to red when the game is red. that would be cool

At any swap meet $10.00 non-battery pocket stopwatch in brass finish
with chain. NEW!!!

After reading through this thread, I don't feel so odd about running 30 feet of speaker wire into my Kitchen so I can listen to the game while doing dishes or cooking. :D

which btw doesn't work out so well if you run into the RAF.

This whole thread has me :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: !

I don't think it's idiotic at all, whether the stopwatch, the white hat or whatever. Not a bit. I've been thinking myself that a real stopwatch would be good to have. And I'm getting used to blank stares from family members as I darken the room for better night vision and scribble notes on a pad to keep track of target speed/bearing/course etc etc.
