The Vaguely Unofficial "Thank You, Neal" Thread

You know what?

I've been here for a few years, and writing book reviews for the site for almost a year, but I've never got around to saying saying "thank you" to Neal. I think it's time to rectify that problem.

Thank you for letting me proofread the Subsim almanac and the last couple game reviews. Seriously, I needed to sharpen my editing skills.

Thank you for the red pen, even though I can't seem to find it anywhere.

Thank you for giving the other members an oppurtunity to write book reviews as well. I can't rule the section with an iron fist, you know.

Thank you for letting me to write on my applications that I write book reviews for this site - even though I'm not really sure how that'll help me stock shelves or flip burgers.

Thank you for the USS Texas ballcap, which despite being too small for my giant noggin, is still superbly designed and manufactured.

Thank you for my prized copies of Shattered Sword, the Subsim Almanac, and World Naval Weapons Systems '06. Having them on my bookshelf makes me look way smarter than I actually am.

Thank you for maintaining this website, and therefore putting up with more crap in 10 years than most people do in a lifetime!

Okay, I think that's enough "Thank Yous!" for one night.

Well thank you Subnuts for saying thank you ... now about being a proof reader,
does that mean you can spell opportunity with an o or a u?

Sailor Steve would know these things, but he goes to bed early

and thank you for helping us all with your humor that helped us pass the time waiting for SH4 :yep:

And of course being perverse, we Yanks just had to change the words. The Ami version middle part goes "which nobody can deny..."

Polak 04-14-07 11:38 AM

I know that there is a yankee version, but I had to go with the british one since I wanted to spice things up a bit. But also because I watched "The Bridge on the River Kwai" last night. :D

Certainly in agreement! :()1:
