Its pretty easy I guess...I would presume using the "SH3MiniTweaker_build104" would do the trick. http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=109854

To get to that screen shot above:
1. Use Time travelers SH3 Mini tweaker program, and read the instructions on how to use it. Get that here: http://www.delraydepot.com/tt/sh3sdk.htm 2. Once you have installed this neat little program, Then download NVDrifters very handy MODS from here: http://hosted.filefront.com/aragorn155/1928452 I believe the file to MOD speed is in: SH4_Modding_Tools_Package.zip 3. Once you have opened this zip file you need to extract “Sub .sim and .zon Tweak files” zip file into the SH3 mini tweaker folder which should be under: C:\program files\SH3 Mini Tweaker\Tweakfiles 4. Extract that file into the Tweakerfiles folder There is a readme file in the zip file. Read how to install/use them and have fun. Note: in the top right corner of the Mini Tweaker program there is a button for you to specify the game directory. Every time i use this program to mod files i have to re specify this directory to the SH4 folder. You might have to also. Furthermore, cruising around at 50knots might sound fun, but it isn’t. For one you wont be able to submerge suddenly, and you will find you sub cant even get to periscope depth, the only way down is to crash dive, and in shallow water at 50kts its not a pretty sight. I keep my surface speeds at 25kts, and have risen my submerged speeds to the same. Hope this helps, have fun! |
Cheers "MP" I was to lazy...

that really great , thank for all above

See my instructions on how to install and use mini-tweaker for SH4 in this thread: http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=110889 Read through it and see where you may have unzipped or copied something different. |

but thank you guys anyway, may be someone should make a 50knot mod for us, i think i am not the only one who have this problem |
Well I was able to use the tweaker just fine. Yeah it's not fun hitting your last waypoint 1km from land and not being able to slow the game down fast enough to turn. You have to be careful. My problem is this, I can't seem to slow down worth a crap. What should I do put the drag values higher? I just don't want to screw up the system like I did with SH3 and I was 'crash diving' anytime my boat went over 80 knots.

glad to hear you figured out the minitweaker. I was going to offer to make you a few modified sims if you still needed them. |
SH4_Modding_Tools_Package.zip
I'm a newbie here
On filefront i can't find these files can someone give me q quick link Kind regards |
When you are using higher speeds, you must turn to slow down.
Use a zig zag if nessicary. |
Well, for giggles I tried this - and it looks like the sftw limits you to about 40-45 knots. I used various numbers for the engine power and top end - cant get above these numbers.
I only tried with one class - the Tambor. I may try the others. If there is a specific request for a class - I can see about creating it. |
