Target information button
Hi guys,
I am using easy option whilst getting used to the sim, I have noticed when selecting F4 periscope in ths order panel, there is no target informatin button, as per the manual. Any ideas??? I have applied the 1.1 patch and am using a few mods, but not sure if one of these mods have caused the missing target information button. Jeff |
Could he be using the observation periscope instead of the attack scope?
|
No not using obs scope

Have the crosshairs on the ship then hit the L key on the keyboard. This will lock onto the target maybe then it will start updating.
|
No, have locked taget and no information shows anywhere. There frustrating trying to do an attack and not having any target info showing i.e. disance to taget etc lol

There should be a tab on the left side of the screen a little past midway down. If you don't see one you need to move your monitor sreen setting to the right.
|
I have got the position keeper tab showing on the lest hand side, down just above order panel, that is the only tab on the left.

Are you talking about the recognition manual? If so while in the scope view press the persicope tab on the command bad and look at the 3ed button from the right.
|
What realism settings are you using? Have you selected the manual targeting option in the gameplay settings? This could be why there's no target info.
|
No the recognition button shows when in the perisope function. This is a button, on page 22 of the manual, in the Perscoipe (F4) section, "5. Taget information". this button is not showing as an option in the periscope selection.

No, have not selected manual targeting option, full easy.

Try pressing the U key this is for the target bearing transmitter.

What manual did you get? On page 22 of the manual, I see 2 Battleships and a Carrier.
In my manual, on page 61 I see PERISCOPE STATION and there's a picture if the Attack Periscope. Just to the left in the Target Information. Just click on the Tab to slide it out and slide the selector up to "Position Keeper". This will show: -Ship type -Ship Class -Range -Angle on bow -Speed I hope this helps. |
Hmmmmmmmmm, I have an Australian version. the section of the manual I refer to is Submarine Status Indicators., then Order Panel, Periscope F4 etc.
I tried that, that showed it!!!!! However, still wondering if there is another target information window that should be some where, and what do they refer to with that missing button in torpedo selections as per the manual. Jeff |
It sounds like your moniter resolution is off. There should be one tab on the left side of the screen and 2 on the right side.
