end patrol question

how does end patrol work, can i end it anywhere or i do i have to be near a friendly base (not home one) to get warped back to base?

the reasin bein i wanna simulate bein transferred to the med and having to run the gauntlet through gibralter. so what criteria has to be met to get warped back to base?

You can warp out pretty much anywhere, but you lose your return to base renown for doing that.

Otherwise you just need to be within 30k's of your home base and the option to dock at base which will complete the patrol.

 did you have to make 3 threads about it?

well, a mod will clean that up.

anyway

if you are far away from base you can warp back to base

just press ESC -> Exit Patrol and then ''Return To Base''
(note: You will not get the 100 Renown that you earn when you dock the uboat back to base)

if you are withing the 30KM distance from your home base
press ESC -> Exit Patrol and then ''Dock At (ur current Base)''
(Reward: 100 Renown)

same counts for Milcows

be close to them, ESC -> Exit Patrol and then ''Dock at Milcow''
(Note: If you are in the milkcow its a sort of a End Patrol so you have to give out the medals that the crew earns because you will lose them if you continue from the milkcow)

The only time you can not warp back to home base from anywhere is when you are playing at 100% realism setting.

HunterICX 04-10-07 05:01 AM

Ow yeah almost forgot

you CANNOT warp
when Enemy Ships are nearby, and they spot you
when the uboat is submerged
when you have been detected by Destroyers

sorry bout the 3 posts it wasnt intentional. i started a new career to test how end patrol works. i travelled to roughly 500k's west of gibralter and when i pressed esc the only options where "continue" and abandon career". i clicked abandon and i ended up back at base right enough but will this mess up my my real SH3 career in anyway? why am i not gettin the return to base option?

None. Well, almost none: You may not be submerged and there may not be ships around you - since you could warp home anytime an escort hunts you otherwise.

Laffertytig 04-10-07 03:02 PM
