Calling all know-it alls - What is this?
I came across an interesting item at a car-boot sale (garage sale for those friends across the pond) this weekend and the seller didn't know what it was.
IIRC (spelling aside) it had written on it - M10 Correctielschiff (not sure about the spelling) It was a white plastic board with a large dial in the center. Along the right edge of the board there was a scale in centimeters & along the top edge there was a scale in inches. Under the dial there was (what I assumed) a range scale going upto 3500m & the dial itself was divided into 32 parts in what looked like centimeters again. The first quarter of the dial had a reversed scale on it too. Does anyone know what it is? And should I have bought both of them for £2.50? |
Espresso machine? :hmm:

Large tape measure! :p
|
Dude, it's so obviously a flux capacitor.
|
Nope. It's a repulsorlift calibrator.

Would you be able to post a picture?

Was there any movable parts in it? Or was it just a board with all the stuff in it you descripted? |
I know everything.
Except what I don't. This falls into the latter category. |
No movable parts except the large dial in the middle, which was divided into 32 parts which was in centimeters, this was overlayed on the range scale on the board.

 Steve, I was relying on you.
I'll see if I can get a drawing together. |
