GWX Rocks!
 

I finally caved into the peer pressure, and upgraded to GWX. I'm glad I did! Whoever worked on this, you did a great job and by all means keep it up! The historical details, the enhanced graphics, the music on the record player, make it a rich experience. I like the fact that my attack scope has more magnifying power. Twice I had to lay off firing because one was a nuetral and the other was a passenger ship. Our glorious paper-hanger of a leader decided to tell us not to fire on passenger ships :nope:. All the the tonnage that could have been mine. But all was not lost. I nailed a medium cargo ship in the fuel cells and it went up like a roman candle! I preceded to later nail two steamers. I'm on 90% difficulty and 9,000 tons and counting. When I learn how to bring screenshots over, I'll post up the fireworks. :arrgh!: Again, great job. Thanks for making this and thanks to those of you that suggested this to me. Good Hunting.

By the way, this is all out war. Sink anything flying an enemy flag and you'll be rewarded for it, nevermind what Hitler says

I didn't care for the passenger restriction since the steamers are called "Passagier/Ladung" so they obviously do carry freight. Didn't see my renown go down for it. :arrgh!:

The messages that appear in the GWX mod,

like for example

From: U64
To: BDU

Sunk 2 Steamers for 2700 Tonnage


or

From: BDU
To: (your U-Number)

The french are not to be sunk, only in case of hostility action done against you

or some other regular message that is about the status of war or about what you can and cannot sink


these messages are not ''Real'' better yet do not effect your Gameplay

the messages just add the feeling ''you're not alone out there''

its taken from a diary if I,m correct and have been placed into GWX so it seems your not the only one.


some messages like

''Base changed to Lorient''

those are REAL , this message appears at a direct time like 00:00.
so if you get that message for example you can park your sub in the new harbour.

I'm just afraid that my social life will suffer as I just have to do that "one more patrol" thing :arrgh!: . The sound effects in GWX also really adds to the atmosphere, great job of the GWX team, keep up the good work. If this was an official add-on I would pay for it!!
