Horrible white noise when engaging ships
 

I sometimes get a horrible static, screachy, hissing noise that is unbelievabley loud and ear shattering. it'll last a few minutes then just go away.

sounds like a sound card issue when dealing with the sound effects for the shells flying through the air.

you might be able to temporarily move the shell noises from the game by moving them from the sounds folder into a backup folder somewhere.

might try that and see if it helps. you could always move them back if it doesnt stop the shrill noise.

Update soundcard driver?
