question about recognition of ships
yeah how do u get it to work automatically, in sh3 u just clicked on the book and it brought up the correct ship you were looking at, is this not modelled in sh4?
i cant be bothered trying to find the thing manually it takes too long. |
probably a lower realism setting, thats how it was in SH3.
|
Even with a low realism setting the recognition manual is still manual operation :(
It would be nice if it had a tab system instead of having to click thru every thing! Each classification could be in it's own section like the nice paper graph of Ships that comes with the package! Seperate by: BattleShips | Carriers | Heavy Cruisers | Light Cruisers | Escort Ships |Passenger Ships | Small Craft | Tankers | Freighters |
But with the lowest realism do you need it since the ships ID is stated in the TDC?

Yes, they are identified. But you still have to look in the Recognition manual to find out the draft. it doesn't open at the exact page the way it did in SH3 by clicking on the target name.
|
Once you find the ship in question you can click on the upper-left part of the recognition manual. It'll minimize until you click on it again, at which time the same page as before you minimized will pop up. It won't be the auto-find-ship feature, but it might save a second or two.

what about the poster with all the ships on it that comes in the box (im assuming thats not a special feature for collectors editions only).
couldnt you just look at the corresponding ship on the poster? it has draft there |
Unfortuantly, the poster has all measurements in metric. At least, mine does.
