Heads up... Gamma settings impact graphic quality !

Mentioned this in another thread but thought Id bring it up in its own thread cause well to me its a signifigant find.

Gamma settings have a huge impact on image quality. The higher you set it the grainer the graphics are.

If you have grainy gritty graphics try lowering the gamma settings you may be pleasently supprised.

It makes sense the more black you have, the less detail you see, the more "percieved" smoothness. However, on my average system with quality card and current drivers, I see no problem with the graphics at ANY gamma setting. I just use it at the default center. Looks fine.

Just as an experiment turn the gamma way up.. you will see what Im talking about.

I think alot of the "complaints" are due to the gamma being to high.

Choose High settings then costume, and the gamma changes in game. Even though the gamma was never adjusted.
