Screenshot help

This may seem like a stupid question but where does this game put screenshots

I have searched my whole harddrive and cant find them

I am sure i am talking them corectly but with some of the bugs ive seen you never know

Oh as well im running Vista not sure if that changes anything

AVGWarhawk 04-06-07 12:56 PM

It does not keep screenies. I had to got to FRAP.com and get a small program to do this. It works great BTW. I like it.

NefariousKoel 04-06-07 01:02 PM

I use Gadwin Printscreen myself. Just do a search for it.

Lorgar 04-06-07 01:07 PM

well that would be why i cant find them lol

thanks for the help

I may have got entirely the wrong end of the stick here, or missed something obvious, but if we're talking about SH4, my copy takes screenshots with Ctrl-F11, and it stores them in the main SH4 directory as (ridiculously enormous) BMP files.

Did I miss something obvious?

:hmm:

Mine never did work. I did the old Ctrl/F11 and nothing. I like FRAP better anyway. It has more features.

No. Works for me as well...

Ctrl-F11 works fine for me too...

NefariousKoel 04-06-07 03:15 PM

Ya definitely want to convert those .bmp files over to .jpg to save space when posting. ;)

NEON DEON 04-06-07 03:22 PM

Ctrl = F11 works for me too.

As we discover another undocumented keyboard command... Has anyone put together a list of all of the those that aren't in the documentation?

John Channing 04-06-07 06:40 PM

It's not undocumented.

Hit F1 and go to "Other Controls".

It's there, and it works fine for me.

So let me get this straight...

hitting the PRTSCR button on the keyboard doesn't work? (doesn't save it to that folder?)

Is CTL-F11 the 'photograph' command? 'cuz I thought that only took a snapshot of what the periscope was looking at?

When doing a photo recon mission, you'll get an illuminated "camera" icon on your Orders bar ... clicking on the icon will take a "periscope" photo. Screenshots, on the other hand, can be taken from any view ... use the NumPad "Del" key to get rid of the Orders bar for an unobstructed picture.
