First Impressions an in depth review !

Wow the Pacific is deep.

I posted this mostly in jest.

But honestly was a "first impression" I'm just used to SH3 where you had limited bottom seemingly everywhere.

But yea it gets pretty shallow around the atols. Im still trying to figure out how in the hell Im going to insert that spy. Seems like a suicide mission to me.

I know what you mean about the Atlantic/Pacific difference. One of the "standing orders" for my U-boats was to never attack in shallow water. Here, we really have no choice. I am really enjoying the extra tactical strategy that needs to go into an attack. "If I take a shot at that task force, how the heck am I gonna get away?"

Somewhat of a different story in the PTO. Japanese vessel ran the shorelines to stay in the shallows in hopes to keep the sub out. Did not work to well. Nice change of tactics in SH4:yep:

The spy insertion is doable. Not easy.

I find that it's much shallower than in SHIII; Generally speaking. Where as in SHIV I've found a Task Force(With a Euro Liner), but I'm going to match it's speed and stalk it until I get into deeper waters. 56ft isn't deep enough to escape the DD's...

Mission accomplished... though we did take one shell to the hull and may have run over the rubber boat the spy was in
