I am constantly getting the following message:

"The transport ship General R.T. Frank was sunk by a
Japanese submarine just north of Kohala, on the Island
of Hawaii in the channel between Hawaii and Maui. The
transport has been used prior to war to transport U.S.
Army troops and dependants from Honolulu to Hilo for R
& R at KMC in the Volcan area. It was a small ship
and the torpedo demolished it. There were no survivors."

I feel sorry for those that lost their lives, but I swear I've got at least a dozen copies of this exact same message since Dec 9 when I went on patrol (now Feb 9), it's gotten to the point where I rarely check new messages anymore since I can be pretty sure it's just the same one about Gen R.T. Frank. My message log is getting clogged with this crap :(

How many times is Gen Frank going to be raised only to be sunk again??? Anybody else experiencing this? Can anybody tell me how to delete that message permanently from the game so I can focus on the important stuff?

Sorry to "whine" but getting this same msg over and over is driving me batsh*t ;)

Take a look in the Mods Forum. I saw a mod which provides fewer radio messages. It may take care of the problem.

Thanks, I'll give it a try after I return to port. But if it's the mod I'm thinking of, probably won't help since that one reduces messages by lowering the range at which convoy sightings are reported. Can't hurt to try though!
