Test Drive Unlimited

I'm really surprised no one has said anything about this amazing game that just got released.

Test Drive Unlimited is a game developed by Eden based around the idea of M.O.O.R. - Massively Open Online Racing (even says it on the box). In TDU, the entire island of Oahu is modelled to within a meter of detail and, when online, races can be made on the fly with anyone from anywhere to anywhere on the island. The graphics are truly amazing and you have a selection of over 90 cars and motorcycles to choose from.

I just bought this game this past Wednesday and have been playing pretty much non stop since it's gotten onto my hard drive. The whole atmosphere of this game rocks and this game is turning out to be one of my all time favorites, even in the very early stages of the game.

Hope to see some of you on Oahu! :sunny:

Aloha!

yeah, TDU rocks! not actually managed to get online yet but will try when i can be ars*d. What is your favourite car in the game? mine has to be the Shelby GT500, but the Ferrari Enzo has very good handling. definately one of the best driving games out there!

I've pretty much beaten the game at this point in time, got a few more races and challenges to go but I've made it to Champion level. I'd have to say that my favorite car is either the Mercedes SLR McLaren or my Lamborghini Gallardo Roadster in its custom all black scheme.

Here are a few screenshots I've taken in game to hopefully get some people here excited about the game:

A Favorite along that type of street racing is Need For Speed: Underground 2.

As for track racing, I like the GTR 2 and GT Legends.

Ugh, anything but that. Can't stand the miserable pieces of software that EA call games. Don't get me wrong, the old NFSs were classics: Porsche Unleashed, Hot Pursuit, and High Stakes. But now, I avoid them for their terrible realism and their bugs (NFS Carbon won't even run on my system, which is a fairly high end system I'd say).

I'm not saying that Test Drive Unlimited is a very realistic game, I'm just saying that I can't stand the same old same old that EA puts out. GTR2 is my other favorite racing game.

I've heard many complaints about NFS Carbon so I have never tried it.

I like GT Legends because it was the 1st Racing Sim that let me drive my dads old car, the Daytona Coupe (CSX 2287). Since it disappeared for about 30 years, I never had a chance to sit in the real thing so I just enjoyed the pictures in the house. Until GT Legends. That car is faaast.

I mostly like Need for Speed Underground 1 and 2 and Most Wanted only, and like Juiced, SRS, Grand Trismo(spelling) series, and watch alot of street race movies.

Need for speed underground 2 wasnt too bad, i realy liked that i could tune the car so extensivly, NFS4 was my all time favorite though. I didnt like anything since NFSU2 (didnt like U1 either).

As for Test Drive i havent touched them since Test Drive 3 when Accolade didnt suck.
