Please help!!-No watch officer!

I started a career and have no watch officer and I have done 16 patrols ,yet at base at the awards and promotions section it says I have to complete a patrol.Why have I not yet completed a patrol I've sunk loads of ships got to all my intended gris-patrolled for 24hrs and returned to base .Help please- Stevenssh.:-?

try to do a fresh install and see if that works, and you have completed a patrol if you have reached your grid and patrolled in for 24 hours..so try to reinstall

Are your patrol saves still in the SH3 folder inside 'My Documents'? Sometimes SH3 has a hiccup and looses contact with these. Try renaming your named folder and see if SH3 recognises that.

You sure, your watch officer isnt in the bow or aft compartment? He wont automatically go to bridge when you surface. ;)

If your officer is missing there is a chance he was in the repair area of the boat when you last saved the game. That will make him vanish from the game (unfortunate SH3 stock bug I'm affraid). Dismiss him via SH3Cmd and hire a new one.
