[REQ] Everything has a price.. (Torpedo "costs")
I think it is a bit exaggerated that you have to spend renown on Mk 23 and Mk 18 torps. Mk 18s were pretty much standard equipment in 1944, while Mk 23 was just a dumbed down version of Mk 14.
Can the renown "prices" be lowered or eliminated? Or is the steep price for an electric just in January 1944? Do they come fore free later?? I never sofar made a career in 1944 so I don't know. |
Well, apparently not...
Btw, am I the only one to read my posts? Did I violate some kind of netiquette in these forums or why do all my posts remain unanswered? Or did I just imagine that I exist?? |
In Cfg/Basic.cfg you will find sections like this towards the bottom
[TORPEDO_TYPE4];T III FaT II (G7e) Idx=4 Year=1943 Month=3 PrototypeYear=1942 PrototypeMonth=9 Renown=250 This is where it was done in SH3, and as you can see, comments still reflect German ordinance. Assuming this is still where renown is controlled, you will have to map it out to the US fish, or simply reset all torps to no or minimal renown costs. |
I haven't gotten far enough in a career to reach new torps... but the cfg/basic.cfg file seems to be obsolete. The new data appears to be in the \Data\UPCData\UPCUnitsData\Ammunition.upc
You can find entries for torps like: Code:
[Ammunition 12] So verify your reknown price for the mk32s your trying to buy. If it's 100 per, then this file is probably how it's set... And if so, then yes, price drops over the course of the war. Code:
[Ammunition 11] -m |
