Torpedo tracking/targetting problems
 

I'm having problems with torpedo tracking and targetting (green line on attack map).

I've seen people suggest it's dependant on the type of sub, whether it works or not.

I'm currently using a tambor class sub and the tracking and targetting works fine when I've just left harbor.

However now that I am well into a mission both the targetting line and the torpedo tracking is gone.

Can anyone tell me what the problem is or could be?

Did you check no map contact updates in game play option page? I believe it will cut the lines out. Do you quote me on that!!!

Just tried both with and without no map contact updates checked, same result.

It appears it works till I get a bit past midway, then it stops working.
I was considering it could be tied to the skills of my crew or something, but apparently it isn't the case as it stops working while the same people are on watch as when I left the base.

I'm also having the same problem... Any ideas?

If this is really a bug, it's a very serious one... I'm firing blind and can't see how the torpedo goes...

So any solution to this yet?

No, it's on the list AKAIK and waiting on patch 1.3

Yeah it happens when you depart from Pearl and cross the International Date line or something. Try out latest FTT by Ducmius (available here). It makes your starting position well beyond that Point of doom and the Trop target line will be there until u return to pearl where u dont need it anymore :)
