Depth of the ocean

Is it just me, or is the ocean really not deep enough in this game? This is probably the only thing I've noticed that bugs me about it. I mean I'll be in the middle of the ocean off the east coast of the UK and the depth under the ship will be something like 23 meters. Huh? I know it gets deeper in some places because in the naval academy convoy mission I was able to go down to 100 meters. Is this actually realistic? Is that part of the ocean really shallow? :o

Sorry...does that mean yes? The ocean off the eastern part of the UK is shallow?

East of the UK is not exactly the Ocean..:D It is called the North Sea and yes it is shallow (except along the coast of Norway), this is why there are so many oil drilling platforms all over the place...
When you are in the real Ocean, you will get depth reports of "over 1000 m".

Gotcha. Clearly geography is not a strength of mine  Thanks for the info :)
