Dev Are Having A Laugh ! Blue And Red Contacts On Map US/Japanese!

I'm now on the USS Drum a new Gato, and I have 2 radars now.

When I got this contact called out on my way from PH to Mway, I looked at the radar and seen its range was 8,000. And on the nav map the contact was grey, I press CT and when the contact was just inside 8,000 I jumped into the radar and watched as the sweep went round I seen the light green contact blip a small circle. But the other radar had no Spike showing ???

Any way I though I'd take a snap of my 1st contact showing on radar, as you know the ingame way to take a snap is Ctrl+F11. I looked at the radar screen and as the sweep came round again and highlighted the contact as a light green circle, as soon as I press down on Crtl before I press F11 .. This happened!

I had to laugh ... I looked at the nav map and the contact went from grey to blue, I can't wait to see what they have put for an enemy contact..

Though I guess that a Mod to turn off the blue red contacts and make them all grey will take away the :D too ??

Yeah, I think Neal Stevens was the first to discover that you get a smilie when taking a screenshot of the Radar. I'm pretty sure this is listed in the Sticky Thread titled 'Easter Eggs & Dev Team Humor' at the top of the forum. Nice screenshot of it tho.

Cheers

That's one helluva IFF system. Friendlies are actually friendly.

And check out the Easter Egg sticky as 1Tin said. An armada of smilies!
