Petition to UBI for a No CD Patch

This thread needs and only desires a simple post with a yes if you support the petition to have UBI give us, the legitimate owners of a legal copy of SHIII a no-cd patch. The moderators can and should delete any posts that are non-voting, no offence intended but if you dont want to post yes, then post nothing, thanks!

Once we have as many posts as we can get, I will get the posts convered to an electronic petition and sent to UBI for consideration. Lets hope about a month worth generates enough.

Thank You.

And what would assure that the patch wouldnt be used for illegal copies?

A SF removal tools petition, now that´s what I would sign!

The french "Gamer edition" (9euro budget version without manual) of sh3 doesn't require the CD to run.
I think version 1.4b includes a no-cd patch.

It would be nice to have SH3 run on my computer, really...(then I wouldn't have to use Gart's computer...)
 my computer doesn't have DVD-ROM. So...I sign for this petition.

*signs*

:shifty: PM me if you want the full story.

Well with out getting into it, lets just say that those who wanted to pirate the game almost certainly already have a long while ago. At this point UBI isnt likely to loose any sales by putting out an official no dvd patch.

Anyhow lets stay on topic, If you want it then just put yes, if ya dont then say nothing :)

Yes

:rotfl: you aint had your DVD fried by starfarce yet i see , it chewed mine into mincemeat ;) besides all the software too run the game is already on your puter, why do you need your DVD pretending too be a fridge humming away in the background think green and save energy

Then I guess it really screwed up your drive...when I start SH3, it runs once to detect the disc-protection, and that's it.

Yes, I hardly have SF-issues.
For some burning-tasks, I have to remove SF for that session, but that's a matter of seconds...no big deal for me.

Yes

I have made the thread sticky for now, as to avoid the need of bumping it constantly. Just post "yes please" or "No thanks, I don't need it" so it can be kept in reasonable size for later printing

Thanks

Forgot to add:

YES to the proposed patch.

Sharkfood 03-24-07 02:38 PM

Yes (of course!)
