TC stuck in AOD (DOS) - is there a cure?
In AOD DOS v1.2 ...
It seems that once a wolfpack is formed, even when you leave the pack behind you are stuck at 64X TC the max. Right now, I am returning to France with a single torpedo in the stern tube after sinking seven merchants. Is there anyway to resolve this so that I can travel again at 512X, 1024X, or 2048X? Thanks. http://mywebpages.comcast.net/marksh...ages/stuck.jpg |
Basically, I am left surfing the Net while I make a long transit home. I would rather just dock quickly and get on with my career.

higher time compressions as soon as you are outside of enemy contact. If the allied ships have radar, that's good for up to 40,000 yards. Christopher |
Yes, you have to be really far from the contact, or to wait until the wolfpack is dissolved.
That, at least, is what I understood when it happened to me. |
I'll be back at my base before the wolfpack is disbanded. The AI does not seem very keen on getting rid of them after forming them.
However, if this is a problem, then I may hunt further South to avoid getting involved in one. As it turns out, I attacked the same convoy three consecutive times. The very first attack was coordinated with the wolf pack and the other two were on my own. I took a total of 7 ships for 13 torpedos fires and despite being a heavily escorted convoy I managed to completely avoid detection before and after my attacks. |

The solution was that I had three hours of other work to do so I just left AOD running on my long transit back. The good news about this problem is that there is little bad that can happen to you during time acceleration. We were jumped by a few AC on the way back, but I don't think the AI can aim properly when the sub is accelerated. :)
