How do I load a map I've done in the editor ?
How do I play a map I've done in the editor ? with SH4. I can't figure it out.
And also when I browse the world in the editor I cant see ports/port names like i could with the editor in Sh3 |
You create a folder in either "data/SingleMissions" or "data/SinglePatrols" named "bla". Put the mission file, named bla.mis, in that folder.
Now the mission will appear in either "single mission" or "War patrol", depending on the location. The name of the mission in the menu will be the "Mission title" from the Mission->Localization menu. Note: Replace bla in both places with whatever you want |
Thanks, its working now.
Does anyone know why I can't see the ports and portnames in the Mission editor ? |
Zoom level??? Perhaps:88)

Duh, I tried that but it doesn't make a difference :(
Also, when I try the map I've made, no ships are there that I added except my sub.. but the editor doesnt complain when i press validate mission button. whats up ? |
Look for the checkbox named "remove on last waypoint" or something, that should cure ships disappearance. That is, presuming there's not an issue of when the ships appear in the game world.
Regarding the mission completed stuff - did you start your mission by loading an existing one? then there might be an issue with the objectives. |
Ok I will try.. isnt there a way to hack the editor or something so you can have ships that were removed say 1940 if the date you play is 1944 ? Because there are so many combinations I want to use but it wont work
|
Well,
You could hack the files in data/roster/Countryname/sea for the appearance dates and whatever else. But that might also create some problems within the campaign, beware. Nothing earth shattering though, I think, as long as you make units available MORE time instead of LESS. |
