Is the whole game in 16bit color?
Look at the screenshots. You can clearly see the edges in the color gradients. This not due to jpg compression, this is how it looks ingame!
It looks like 16bit. http://img125.imageshack.us/img125/8...2138555me4.jpg http://img125.imageshack.us/img125/9...2137163tr8.jpg |
You posted nothing about computer specs or the graphics settings used to take these screenshots. It could very well be 16 bit color if that's what you're running. :88)

I have top of the line specs. I see this in SH3 sometimes - even with GWX, particularly at dawn and dusk when the sky changes colour. It probably has something to do with texture scaling.
The sky is a giant sphere with different scaled colours trying to merge. Due to such a large "canvas" you are going to see this. EDIT: As well as underwater.... |
underwater postproces efect is worse than 16 bit i think:cry:

Yes its 16 bit colors. Send your copy of SHIV to me. Thank you. :rotfl:

My computer at work it looks like 16bit and looks awful. My gaming computer at home the screenshots look great. Color transition is smooth. I have a Nvidia 6200OC 256MB.

Doesn't bother me.. Im not going to be staring at the sky closely.
