back from midway with a question or two
 

okay just went to the midway quick mission, now this one was scary, you didnt get to see this many ships in III.

i managed to take down 2 Kongo's ( one idiot Kongo got in the way of my Carrier bound torps) and a cruiser ( not identified )
i would have claimed another kill but the USAAF stole it the gits :) they also took care of a great number, one a capsized capital ship i ran right underneath as they destroyed it. took a little damage there.

turns out the little boy you may just be able to make out up ahead was a jap, second one i rescued whilst picking up 4 USA survivors. in the end i had to leave the entire IJN airforce was blasting the area where i dived, and they came back later when i was still searching..

now for the questions, ive gone over the manual 3 times, i cannot see any mention anywhere of how to set a spread, it tells you what spread to use for certain ships, but it seems impossible to access any room/controll that allows you to set a salvo off.. anyone have a page number i should be looking at ? ive checked and checked again, and while the machine you would use to set a spread is mentioned, how to get there isnt. as it is i can see it when im in the sub, but i cant interact with it.

survivors...where do i keep them exactly ? in the forward Tubes.....

this was a solo mission so i dont know what you would get for actually rescuing ppl during a campaign.

another question, i set the things i wanted repaired. rudder, AAA, and 2 tubes. now if any progress was made on these i didnt see it.
i set silent running to off. even set crews to battle stations. and even went and set damage controll teams to work.. notable progress wasnt really made.

so bug ? or feature....

final question, i cant find this in the manual either, again a page number for reference will do.
"REFIT" well does refit mean refuel ? because i dont seem to be getting any extra fish or any repairs don here ( when near midway i choose refit.)

had a harder time with those destroyers this time, one actually got a good run on me and forced me effectivly out of the fight.
im looking forward to pitting my wits agains them in later years.
