Weird Patrol With GWX
 

Using GWX mod. I found a large convoy and attacked. The whole convoy then decided to join the destroyers and hunt for me. It was a mess. One destroyer Exploded for no reason (depth Charged Himself maybe). This went on until I escaped.

It was the strangest thing. :damn::ping:

This can happen if a crew set the depth fuse wrong it can basically go off to soon espesh if the DD aint moving to fast kinda like doing a under the hull topr explosion AKA an attack of the dumb ass:yep:

I've seen two destroyers do weird stuff when one got hit with the others depth charges. funny as hell to watch. The first destroyer didnt fire back and kept turning to try and DC me again.. After a couple of minutes the the second one destroyed it and then resumed hunting me.. Stupid Destroyers. :lol:

I once encountered a convoy in GW 1.1a that I was tracking parallel in the daytime and was waiting for night to move in when suddenly it seemed like one escort was making a b-line for me and then the rest of the cnvoy seemed to just disperse going in every direction.

I was for a moment freaked out a bit. I was well beyond their visual range and it was early times so there wasn't sophisticated enough radar to see me. Well anyway I soon realised that it wasn't a dispersing convoy. No it was just a convoy of 2nd graders being herded in another direction and they all had a hard time remembering what "turn right" meant.

Funny stuff can happen.

Hey maybe dd was bombed by luftwaffe? It's typical to GWX that not only you hunting for convoys.

Umm why do you think it was the GWX mod that was responsible? Happened in stock too.

It could be the Luftwaffe i was harbour rainding the other night there and was takigna pounding when some stukas showed up or bombers nto to sure and pounded the brown stuff outa the DD's hassling me was the best fun ive had in sh3:up:

Has anyone ever been involved in an attack on a convoy and had other u-boats attacking as well? It'd be nice to have the escorts having more than me to worry about! :)

I did on Saturday night a Viic was shadowing me and was helping out was brilliant i forgot to take a screenie what a dummy grrrr:damn:
