LCD vs CRT Display ??

Iam thinking on getting a new Display what is better a LCD or CRT and if LCD, is good, can you use a widesreen for SHIII.

Well i have a 19" LCD widescreen and well it plays SH3 just fine in fact makes it excellent your in for treat dont get a crt trust me thats what i upgraded from and planning to get a second one so i can run 2 of them:up:

I use a 19" lcd monitor usually and a 27"widescreenLCD sometimes.
both formats work fine for me. Particularly that last.

lcd has longevity functionality and less room glare in my subjective opion
a far better deal for your money. but its not like a glass screen you have
to be careful when cleaning it. but I have never regretted the transition.
and it weighs nothing compared to the CRT

...and consumes much less power!

(I use a 19" Philips CRT, though)

Der Kolkrabe 03-18-07 03:41 PM

I have about month now 19" widescreen LCD, before I have 19" CRT.
No problem with SH3
Take LCD and forget CRT :yep:

Right now they are selling LCD 19 inch for a song. I use a 19 inch LCD and I will never look back to a CRT. Not only that, you gain enough desk space with a LCD for a six pack and large pizza:up:

The one I have was bought for a song 1 year ago and works like a
champ.

Same for widescreen LCD's i only paid 125 Quid(gbp) and im very happy with it.

Our local computer shop has hires 19" Plasma wide screens for around AU $800, anyone know what these are like?:D

kiwi_2005 03-18-07 11:26 PM

LCD, my pc desk is against the wall so i planted my lcd on the wall at eye level. Thats the good thing about LCDs they're not big fat monitors like crts you can always find room for them.

Plasma is an overrated shortlived and expensive bragging right.

leeclose 03-19-07 04:15 PM

What is DSP, I don't think your referring to a "Digital Sound Processor" or a CRT?:)

DSP is a common typographical error commonly substituted in
english text for the more correct DLP is it now I cant even
remember this morning (first coffee still brewing)

the one that projects onto the micro mirror chip
digital lens projection no that aint it either

after coffee and after work

Later.

p.s Thanks again and again for the movie "Corvette K225" there corvette k225 it immediately
shot to the top ten list after the first screening have wathced it about 2.5 times already
and Im sure it will be with me for as long as I can maintain a viable copy.

thanks.
