147,000 USD? I'm smelling a rip-off here. Double check where you got it from.

2006 alpha h1, total with taxes and shipping and import customs costs, just the trick its 138ish 139ish. my dad bought the truck in the states, and had it shipped to toronto here.

fuel milage is
it has 2 51.3gallon tanks = total 103 gallons for 570 miles = 5.523.... miles per gallon.. :arrgh!:

You should be getting 8 or so MPG with the ones I have been in. Also - even at that cost, sounds like your dad got taken. Sorry! The most expensive version is only $119K over here fully loaded. And its even a 2006 that he got at that cost! Ouch!

-S

PS. I take that back - the wagon can get up to near that cost. Is it used though? I know Hummer is going to stop making them for the public. The fuel consumption is a bad stain on GM's record which is why.

OMG that is mega cool to have a huge monster like that. But um...

Where ya gonna park it when you go to the supermarket? And like, what a wasteful unefficient vehicle. But still the wow factor of owning a tank like that is pretty awesome!

Our road are pretty wide over here. I doubt you could drive it in some places in the UK though, or half of Europe. My one biggest complaint about Hummers though is vision. Especially the right front bumper - you can hide a whole Cadillac down there and not see it. I almost took some lady out this way. She did not want to be behind me, so raced around me on a merging road. As she got to one point off the right front bumper, I think I lost her vehicle (vision wise) for about 3 or 4 seconds - kind of scary not knowing where she was.

Congrats on having a vehicle that is not good at anything other than eating entire USA’s reserve supply of petrol in one gulp.

If I wanted to spend that kind of money and drive unarmored tank, I would find BTR80 (or such) from former Soviet Union states.

Congrats elite_hunter_sh3, I take it your family worked out their money problems.

Hummers are not my cup of tea but have fun.
