GWX radar?
is there the Radar Detection mod build in GWX? there still is a weak point in the radar station in SHIII.:-?
|
If you mean has GWX corrected the Radar Warning Detection ranges from stock. The answer is yes.
In stock: Metox - range 4000, sweep 15 sec Borkum - range 5000, sweep 15 sec Naxos - range 7500, sweep 15 sec Tunis - range 10000, sweep 15 sec In GWX: Metox - range 35000, sweep 25 sec Borkum - range 30000, sweep 20 sec Naxos - range 20000, sweep 15 sec Tunis - range 35000, sweep 10 sec |
So where do you fine that radar data that you posted. I was thinking on making the radar wheel turn a little slower.
|
Sorry, thought you were asking if something similar to Stiebler's Radar Warning Detection fix had been implemented. The data in the previous post is taken from the Sensors.dat file, but it's obviously for Radar Warning Receivers, not Radar, so it's not what you're looking for. I believe the information for the Radars is in the same file.

Can you expand on what your needing to do exactly.

It seems like the radar beam is to narrow just one or two marks on the dial and you get a hit on the ship and you see it on your screen . In real life I donnot think the radar beam for that type of radar, the beam would be that narrow. :-?

"............. just one or two makers and you you get a hit on the ship"
Can you explain it further?? What is your concern with the current radar operation in GWX?? Txema |
A topic from January...maybe it helps.
And while on the subject: if you have a radar installed, and load a game...remember that the radar is switched on by default upon loading, so you have to shut it down yourself! If you're in dangerous waters, then shut if down immeadiatly, if you want to stay undetected! It's the 1st thing I do when I enter the game...if you forget about it, then a few minutes of radar-activity is enough to get the enemy alerted. |
