sending reports to BDU via radio message?
 

what exactly is the procedure to send a contact report that indicates the position of a sighted convoy/ship/aircraft? ive tried marking the position of a convoy that ive sighted on the navigational map and sent a contact report and patrol report at the same time.after awhile, ive received a radio message from BDU stating "contact report received".is this the correct procedure to report to BDU? or is there another way?

yeah u sorta done it right. you need to have the conact in view on the map to get any support from anyone.

In GWX, the Luftwaffe will sometimes make a pleasant appearance after you've reported a contact's presence...Bombs away!!!!

I can't complain about the boys from the "Regia Aeronautica" (Italian Air Force ).

On my way back home in summer 1941 (1 Torp left) I ran into a C3 south of Sicily. Well, one Torp is nothing for a C3 so I reported the contact. Soon two Bredas showed up and bombed the C3. The good thing was: They couldn't sink him; he was burning and down to 1 knot.

My last torpedo sunk him and I received full credits and another 7,459 tons to the roster: "Mille grazie, mio camerati italiano!":D

The Luftwaffe have been paid a lot of Reich marks by me to bomb you on your next patrol. And they are looking forward to bombing you to the bottom of the sea. ;)
